OCCSC is proud to announce a soft launch of in-office services. June 29th, 2020, OCCSC will start to offer services at our 400 Cooper Street location. The health and safety of our staff, clients and volunteers are our top priority. All the Service information is located after the guidelines.

Please read through the following guidelines:

To ensure that all clients, staff and volunteers are protected, and physical distancing is maintained, Plexiglas barriers have been put in place, plus our strict guidelines that must be followed.

1. All clients are required to bring/wear a mask
2. We are only accepting clients by appointment
3. Clients must arrive no more than 5 minutes prior to their appointment
4. No sitting room will be provided
5. A washroom for clients to wash hands is provided
6. Clients are required to complete the following checklist.

Do you have any of the following:

1. Fever
2. Cough
3. Shortness of breath
4. Sore throat
5. Runny nose
6. Feeling unwell
7. Have been in close contact with someone who is sick or confirmed with Covid-19 in the past 14 days
8. Have returned from travel outside Canada in the past 14 days

“Clients of the Client Services Department,
Our department is happy to announce that our all our services including settlement service for newcomers, counselling and mental health services for Chinese Canadians, will resume on June 29, 2020, albeit in a more gradual manner.
Our staff will be divided equally into two teams. One team will report to work in the office while the other team will continue to work from home. All workers are available to answer information inquiries from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. All our workers will only meet with clients who have appointments. Clients who drop in will be asked to make an appointment with respective workers and leave, unless they need help for an emergency. Clients with appointments should only come in no more than five minutes before their appointments. We require all clients to put on a face mask for their appointments.”

SSMN (Settlement services for Middle-Eastern Newcomers
4 Arabic Speaking settlement counsellors will assist clients to benefit from the Settlement Services for Middle-Eastern Newcomers (SSMN) Program.
We will continue to provide all services to groups and individuals via the Internet through Zoom: community Connections, initial needs assessment, orientation and information (health, education, housing, employment, preparation for Canadian citizenship test, computer courses, etc.)

In-TAC is preparing to open its offices for stage two of Covid-19 reopening. As always, we value the safety and protection of our clients and staff. With this in mind, we need your attention as we have made some changes to the way we serve our clients:

• All one-on-one career support will be by appointment only. This includes: career discussions, job search matching, interview preparation, LinkedIn/networking advice, resume and cover letter help, etc.
• We will not be able to serve you if you do not have an appointment.
